Welcome to Drum Circle the place where drumming lives. Here we tell a little about us and what we aim to do. The primary purpose of Drum Circle online is to create a place for drummers to network and explore all possibilities. Arranging traveling and performances to different countries and cultures. If you are just an enthusiasts or just want to know more about drumming feel free to join.
Our Objectives
•To expose every and anyone to traditional Jamaican folklore drum forms i.e. Kummina, brukins mento ,burru,ettu and so on.
• To establish a drum circle in every parish on the island circles creating spaces where drummers will meet and share their knowledge creativity while nurturing the young in appreciating this aspect of our culture.
• To find interesting and avant-garde ways in which we can explore the teaching and performing of this exciting Jamaican Drumming tradition.
• To promote drumming as a viable form of entertainment.
Teaching and Training
The Drum Circle’s philosophy of teaching and training (Drumophia) has earned top awards and honors at the annually held 
Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) music festival. The Drumophia philosophy is a 100% Jamaican Folklore organisation is grounded in the principle that everyone can and is a master of drumming in their own right. It is the unearthing of that fire, of those skills through the principles being taught that will make you reach the fullest potential not just as a drummer but holistic beings.
